Someone has asked me to write on
HAPPINESS
Happiness is really only relevant to the person experiencing it.
Seeing as I have never written of something on someone elses mind... here goes.
Trees and flowers
Dances and the stillness
The ever shortening summer glow beginning to fall beneath the distance
And newly exhaled wind
softly danceing through my hair.
Smiling at a stranger and leaving with a new friend.
The taste of Strawberries.
the scent of the earth after a storm.
The terrifying excitement to the oncome
of rolling clouds
and
that first chip from a newly opened bag of Doritos.
It's the sound of her opening the door when she comes home after being away
and
all other perception stops.
The world ceases to exist for that one moment
and I'm almost able to believe
that if I could sit on this one moment
just maybe
I could live in it forever.
This
Is my
Happiness
It.. is never something you will find
so long as your looking for it.
Because happiness is not a thing.
you can't own happiness
it's not in some cereal box.
and no one can give it to you
Like a present for your birthday.
Happiness
is a perception of experience
Simple
Perception is dictated by past experiences, core values and
sometimes
social pressures
Experience
...well...
experiences only happen to those who
are open to them.
So what I'm really saying is
happiness
is only ever KNOWN
by people willing to expand their perceptions
by risking experiences
that may or may not turn
into perceived happiness.
So tell me...
How open are you
To experiencing
Your happiness?

WOW APRIL JAYNE,I LOVE the simplicity u have used to describe such an inexplicable EMOTION...one of the definitions is indeed as to HOW we PERCEIVE an experience and that perception is DEFINETELY governed by past experiences, moral values and UNFORTUNATELY social pressures too!!i REALLY loved the line "SMILING AT A STRANGER AND LEAVING WITH A NEW FRIEND".its such a simple line, yet so deep and thoughtful..and thank you so much for writing it down for me(CHEESY in ROSE DIX's voice ,haha, jokin:p),no seriously I really appreciate that u took out the time for writing this beautiful piece for me,for EVERYONE...even though I am a medical student, but I can still tell when a piece of art is average /good or brilliant.THIS was good, really liked it,but it cannot beat a brilliant art piece like(WHEN A GIRL loves A SPAUGHTON sung in the HUSKIEST voice ever:D
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA! My God you're RIGHT! I could never compete with Rosie's VOICE!!!! That was probably tied for favourite line from that vid with her perfect use of "Seriously tho, got 99 problems but.. a bitch ain't one." Perfect ending to that! HAHAHA!
DeleteI'm really glad you liked it and I think it's Brilliant that you're a medical student! That's just amazing to me! It's a different type of art I could never succeed in.
Damn it!... ok... now I need to watch "Proud to Love" again... HAHA!
Haha,I know right..ROSIE's voice reminds of screaming parts in thE songs of SYSTEM OF A DOWN band ..lol..but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT..u know after reading ur comment I watched the video again and had creases on my private parts down under(due to biological reasons:p) and creases on my face due to laughter esp where rose says "BASICALLY u are with me only so u can EAT,FART and LOOK like shit" and rosie goes"deal with it"....YES it is amazing to be a medical student Esp when a student has GYNAECOLOGY and PAEDREATRICS wards back to back, first dealing with frustrated women screaming at the nurses for not checking their stinky pubes for crowning 24/7in the labour room and then the student has to deal with kids crying and pooing in beds and shouting rude names at student for trying to perform a physical examination on them..once I asked this little kid to open and lift his tongue so I could check his temperature and in reply he asked me SHOVE the thermometer UP my ANUS,didn't even use the decent term ass,but anus instead,I felt so honored in front of my group mates and assistant professor..felt like my life's ambition was completed....the FUTURE of medicine is so bright ..let me explain through a single example ?.becuz over the past few years, more money has been spent on BREAST IMPLANTS and VIAGRA than is spent on Alzheimer's Disease research, it is believed that by the year 2030 there will be a large number of people wandering around with HUGE BREASTS and ERECTIONS who wont remember what to do with them..I am actually excited for the future:D...
